Pool Owner Advice and Guidance

Caring for Your Pool
As many pool owners know, caring for your pool can be very easy once you get into a routine, but if the care slips a little bit, you may need to clean and disinfect your pool before it starts to look more like a swamp, than an inviting place to swim. The pool should be checked for bacteria regularly, as the airborne water particles may be carrying a potentially fatal bacteria. This is especially important if your pool is enclosed and/or heated. The bacteria, called legionella, can cause flu-like symptoms that are signs of the 'legionella pneumonia' or 'legionnaires disease'. This is contracted through a person's respiratory system.

Are you new at this?
If you have just moved into a home with a pool (lucky you!) and need to know where to start, please give one of our advisors a call. Please check out our downloads section too and get free advice pamphlets on how to care for your new pool. We're happy to help at any point, so if you get stuck on an issue, you are not familiar with, let us know.

Hot Tubs in the News
If you are a hot tub owner, you may have noticed that legionella outbreaks have been associated with neglected hot tubs, in the news recently. The outbreaks have caused many people to fall ill, with legionnaires disease, but this could have been easily prevented. Please get in touch if you are worried about the condition of your hot tub or pool, and one of our friendly experts will be able to help you.
